The Washoe Theater

The Washoe Theater was built in 1931 to accommodate the many vaudeville acts which toured through our area. Today it hosts concerts and provides a remarkable setting for first-run movies. It is still family operated in an old-time manner, with an intermission and lodge seating in the balcony for an extra 25 cents.
The acoustics and sound system are extraordinary! This theater is on the National Historic Register and is one of the few remaining 'grand' theaters in the country. The Washoe Theater is open every night with recently released movies. For less than $7.00 per adult, you can enjoy a movie and have popcorn and a drink.
