George and Mary started their first bed and breakfast 14 years ago. It was originally located on Hickory Street in Anaconda. They found an old historical house and wanted to fix it up, but thought it would be too big for only two, so they decided to open the home to guests.
After only 6 years they had outgrown the original site and started looking for something larger. When the beautiful St Paul's Rectory became available in 2004, they spent 6 months getting it ready to open and have continued updating and improving the gardens. The innkeepers hope that you'll love Hickory House Inn and the surrounding gardens as much as they've loved creating this little bit of paradise in Anaconda, Montana. This area of Montana is very special because, in 15 minutes in any direction, you can be in the beautiful mountains of Montana. Mary's cousin Brenda now runs it for Mary and George as they relocated to Texas. Brenda strives to feed you well and keep the strict standards Mary and George set in place many years ago.
